Carter B. Webb is a Principal with The Van Winkle Law Firm. His practice includes helping individuals with their estate planning and estate administration needs. He is a North Carolina Bar Certified Mediator in Superior Court and with the Clerk of Court. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar and the South Carolina Bar.

Carter was born in Asheville, but grew up in Columbia, South Carolina. His mother grew up in Asheville, and his maternal grandparents lived their entire lives in the Asheville area.

In 1993, Carter graduated from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. In 1996, he started working as a Systems Analyst for Palmetto GBA (a subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina). With a wife and one child at the time, Carter decided to leave his job in 2006 to attend law school. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2009 and then accepted a job with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine as the Assistant Director of Legal Affairs and the Privacy Officer. He worked there until he joined Strauss Attorneys, PLLC in 2011. Carter joined The Van Winkle Law Firm in September of 2022. Carter is married to Leigh, and they have a daughter (Reagan) and a son (Beckett).
