In furtherance of this commitment, The Van Winkle Law Firm Board of Directors established a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee chartered with the goal of developing and executing a plan to ensure Firm policies, procedures, and culture reflect a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The DEI committee identified twelve campaigns, such as providing DEI training to Firm Leadership including the Board, Practice Group Leaders, and DEI Committee Members; expecting that all Firm employees participate in a minimum of 1.5 hours of DEI courses; evaluating the Firm’s charitable giving; ensuring our DEI budget includes funds specifically designated to support community DEI efforts. Also, the DEI committee supports the Firm’s efforts to intentionally seek hiring opportunities which are inclusive of all candidates.
