The Van Winkle Law Firm announced today that it has added two new associate attorneys to its legal team. Attorneys Delia R. Ledesma and Marie Claire O’Leary Smith have joined the team of lawyers in their Asheville office.
Prior to graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2016, Delia obtained a B.A. in both English and Psychology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Delia is also admitted to practice in the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians’ Tribal Court.
Ms. O’Leary Smith focuses her practice on civil litigation and criminal law. She was born and raised just down the mountain in Chimney Rock, NC. Prior to graduating from American University Washington College of Law in 2019, Marie Claire obtained a B.A. in both English and Political Science with a Minor in Hispanic Studies from UNC Chapel Hill. She began her legal career at a small firm in Wilson, NC as a criminal defense attorney. As an attorney, Marie Claire enjoys being in court as much as possible and working with clients.
