Heather Whitaker Goldstein has a broad range of experience representing clients in complex business-related disputes that involve patent, trademark and copyright infringement; antitrust issues; trade secrets; fraud and unfair business practices; contracts and non-compete agreements; and all matters relating to employment law.  In addition, as former Executive Director of the Asheville Jewish Community Center, Goldstein has a special interest in working with non-profit organizations and guiding them through matters relating to employment law, tax-exempt status, governance and risk management.

Before returning to her hometown of Asheville, NC, Goldstein completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Welton Curtis Sewell, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Virginia.  She also worked as an associate attorney in the Washington, DC office of Jones Day.  She is admitted to practice before all the state courts in North Carolina, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.  She is also admitted to the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third and Fourth Circuits, and the United States District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of North Carolina, as well as the Eastern District of Virginia.
