Brian T. Lawler joined The Van Winkle Law Firm to defend medical providers
and their practices from claims of negligence and malpractice, and to
represent clients’ interests in a variety of civil litigation matters.
Prior to joining Van Winkle, Lawler worked at a civil litigation firm
in Greenville, SC. Before embarking on his legal career Lawler worked
in social services for nine years, serving children and adults in need
throughout western North Carolina, and it was this work that ultimately
led to his decision to join the legal profession.
Lawler is licensed to practice in the North Carolina and South Carolina.

Brian T. Lawler grew up in Winchester, VA and Winston-Salem, NC as one
of 6 children. He is married to Jean and has two daughters, Lucy and Frances.
In his spare time Brian enjoys playing rugby and golf, snow skiing, and
spending time with his family.
