We offer a summer associate program for top-performing, highly motivated law students who have completed one or two years of law school. Our summer program provides students with an engaging, broad experience, allowing them to enhance their legal expertise and enjoy the camaraderie of our talented attorneys and staff. We provide:

• A competitive salary;
• Hands-on experience in complex litigation, sophisticated business transactions, and advanced estate planning;
• Social events and activities to allow summer associates to get to know our attorneys and staff; and
• Opportunities to become involved with community nonprofits and to volunteer for pro bono service through Pisgah Legal Services and NC LEAP.

We participate in on-campus interviews at the University of North Carolina School of Law, Wake Forest University School of Law, the University of South Carolina School of Law, the University of Tennessee College of Law, the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law and the Elon University School of Law. Recruiting for second year summer associate positions concludes in late September and for first year positions in late February.
