Van Winkle welcomes new attorneys
January 09, 2007 — The Van Winkle Law Firm has welcomed four new attorneys to the firm.
Armistead Long has joined the Business, Real Estate and Tax practice group, where he focuses on business, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. He received his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, his M.B.A. from University of Tennessee, and a bachelor’s from Emory University in Atlanta. Long is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Federal Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Business Law section of the American Bar Association.
Suzannah Plemmons focuses her practice on real estate, serving in the Business, Real Estate and Tax practice group. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi and a bachelor’s from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Plemmons is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Real Property Section and of the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys.
David Wilkerson is the newest member of the Litigation team, bringing eight years of commercial litigation experience to the group. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (Juris Doctor), University of Iowa (M.A.) and Furman University (B.A.). He is a member of the North Carolina Bar, and a council member of the Consumer Law section of the South Carolina Bar.
Jeffrey Zentner has joined the Health Care practice group, where he works on health care litigation and insurance defense. He received his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University, where he was published in the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law. He also received a bachelor’s from the University of Utah. Zentner is a member of the North Carolina State Bar.
