Van Winkle welcomes new attorneys

April 15, 2008 — The Van Winkle Law Firm has welcomed two new attorneys to the firm.

Scott Dillin has joined the firm's Business and Real Estate Practice Groups. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, business and succession planning, business entity formation, and commercial and residential real estate. A former assistant district attorney, Dillin received both his juris doctor and a masters in business administration from Campbell University.

Kristen Smith joined The Van Winkle Law Firm as a paralegal in 2006 and recently joined the Business practice group as an attorney. She represents banks and creditors in collections, claims and delivery, and foreclosures, and handles general legal matters as well. Kristen is also an adjunct professor at South College of Asheville. She received her juris doctor from the University of Memphis and also holds a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Tennessee.
