Gaskin joins Van Winkle as COO
Denise Gaskin, Ph.D., has joined The Van Winkle Law Firm as chief operations officer. She oversees all day-to-day business operations of the firm, including budgeting, marketing, vendor relationships, human resources, strategic planning and staff management.
Prior to joining Van Winkle, Gaskin was director of administration for Meridian Behavioral Health Services, a behavioral health organization serving western North Carolina. In this role, she focused on improving practices in order to increase both client and staff satisfaction with service delivery. She also served as director of a federally funded program for an area mental health agency and, prior to that, as the wellness director for a large hospital system in Indianapolis.
She holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Tennessee, a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Indiana University, and a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and wellness from Ball State University.
