Roy comes from a family full of lawyers; his father was an attorney, as are two of his four children. He's in the office most Saturdays, but occasionally Roy's wife, the lovely Madeline, pulls him away to their house at Lake Glenville, where relaxation generally means beating back the wilderness (hence the chainsaw) and working on the files he brought along. When he's not so engaged, Roy enjoys hiking, major league baseball, history, literature, and showing off his grandchildren.
