Melissa L. English

Melissa represents businesses and individuals in complex class action and civil litigation matters and trial in banking and financial services, intellectual property, business torts and contracts, shareholder rights, and significant injury.

Melissa is licensed and admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Arizona and North Carolina, as well as the North Carolina Business Court. She has significant trial experience in state and federal courts, and has practiced before the Arizona Court of Appeals, Arizona Supreme Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In her Arizona practice, Melissa resolved through trial or settlement significant injury claims, including recoveries in excess of $1 million.

In her commercial litigation practice, Melissa has:

• represented financial institutions in complex multi-district litigation;
• represented consumer packaged goods companies as local counsel team in patent and trademark infringement actions;
• supported liaison counsel in shareholder class action challenging merger.

Melissa, and her husband, Roger, have one son, Emmett. In her spare time, she travels across the country eating local food and taking pictures.
