Jeffrey D. Zentner

Jeff is a member of Van Winkle’s Healthcare practice group. He is actively involved in all facets of the group’s litigation efforts and maintains a personal interest in Intellectual Property Law, Constitutional Law and US Supreme Court History. Jeff has also been published in the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law, and he is licensed in both North and South Carolina. Jeff has served as an adjunct professor of law at the University of North Carolina, Asheville.

Practice Highlights

  • Prepared arguments and wrote brief that resulted in summary judgment in a chiropractic malpractice action in which over $5 million in damages was claimed.
  • Prepared arguments and wrote briefs that resulted in directed verdict at the end of a week-long negligence trial.
  • Obtained complete defense verdict in arbitration arising out of a motor vehicle accident.
  • Defended an automobile negligence case where liability was admitted. Limited plaintiff's recovery to one dollar.
  • Published in Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law: State Regulation of Unsolicited Bulk Commercial E-Mail and the Dormant Commerce Clause. Also served as Managing Editor of publication.
