A native of Everett, WA, Dale spent summers between college semesters working as a commercial salmon fisherman in Alaska. He also lived in Peru for two years, working as a missionary, and he served as a White House intern. Along with his family, Dale is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, snow skiing, hiking, and golf.
